Warm Weather Shipping Policies

Shipping chocolate in the summer is no easy feat! As the temperatures climb well above 70 degrees (the point at which chocolate begins to
melt) we do our best to ensure that your chocolate arrives in the best
condition possible with help from the following:

Cold packs: Every order that we ship during the warmer months is
packed with an insulated box liner and cold packs to help keep your chocolate cool for up to 48 hours. All shipping options are limited to those with transit times of two days or less. Please take into consideration the temperature of your location and the fact that ice packs are most effective the first 24 hours.

Shipping to business addresses: Even with cold packs, chocolate is
no match for the sun if your package is left on a hot porch for several
hours. When possible, we highly recommend shipping to a business
address rather than a residential address to help keep your package in a
temperature controlled environment as long as possible. We are not
responsible for melted chocolate if the package has been left
outside.

Shipping schedule: To keep your chocolate from being in transit for
more than two days, we will only be shipping packages Monday through
Wednesday. We will also ship on Thursday for customers who place
orders by noon on Wednesday and chose Overnight shipping or are
shipping to addresses in Colorado.

Expedited Shipping: When shipping your package during the warmer
months or to warmer climates, 2nd Day shipping may be required
(unless Overnight is specified). If the weather is unseasonably
warm, Overnight Rates may be required.

Super Hot Weather Locations: We monitor the weather in the summer constantly. If you do not see your state listed, it is too hot to ship chocolate under any shipping method. We apologize for the inconvenience.
